Toddler Class
Encouraging exploration, movement, early communication and growing independence.
Two toddler classes, each pitched at its own stage: exploring and first words from 1 to 2, then confidence, social skills and guided play from 2 to 3.

Encouraging exploration, movement, early communication and growing independence.

Building social skills, confidence, communication and learning through guided play.
The EYFS starts with three prime areas. At this age they are almost the whole curriculum.
Talking, listening and being listened to. Songs, stories and constant chatter that turns first words into sentences.
Climbing, balancing, running and riding, plus the fine motor skills of holding, pouring and building. Gymnastics and music each week.
Sharing, waiting, taking turns and naming a feeling — the skills parents notice first at home.

Toilet training is supported in the toddler years. We agree the approach with you so home and nursery say the same thing.
Full-day toddlers have lunch and then rest: younger children sleep, older ones have a quiet period. See a day at Bumble Bee Nursery.

Children move up by stage as well as age: from the Toddler Class (1–2) to Toddler Class 2 (2–3), and then to the Preschooler Class (3–4).
Mid-morning is best — the rooms are busy and you will see real play and learning.
