Nursery fees in Sharjah: what you are actually paying for

Two nurseries can quote you the same number and cost very different amounts over a year. This page is about the parts of the bill that are easy to miss when you are comparing.

Why we quote rather than publish a figure

Fees here depend on the age group and the number of days a week, so a single published number would be wrong for almost everybody who read it. Tell us your child's age and the days you need and we will give you the real figure, with the extras listed separately rather than buried.

It is worth knowing that several Sharjah nurseries publish annual fees through third-party directories, and those listings are not always current. If you have seen a figure for us somewhere, check it with the office before you budget around it.

Two nurseries can quote you the same number and cost very different amounts over a year. The gap is almost always in what sits outside the fee.

What is usually charged on top

Ask every nursery you visit about all five. The gaps between quotes are almost always hiding here.

Registration or admission fee

A one-off charge at enrolment. Ask whether it is refundable if your child does not settle, and whether it recurs each academic year.

Transport

Charged by route and by whether you need one way or both. Ask whether your area is actually covered before you factor it in — routes change with each intake.

Uniform and bag

Usually bought from the nursery. Ask how many sets a child realistically needs at this age, which is more than one.

Meals and snacks

Sometimes included, sometimes a daily charge, sometimes brought from home. This one varies most between settings.

Extended or late care

If pickup is 5:30 PM and you arrive at 5:50 PM twice a week, ask what that costs. Some nurseries charge by the fifteen minutes.

Term dates and holidays

A cheaper annual fee across fewer weeks is not cheaper. Compare the number of operating weeks, not just the headline.

Four questions that tell you more than the fee

Ask these at every nursery you visit. The answers separate two settings quoting the same number far better than the number does.

  1. How many children to each adult, in my child's room? Ask for the number in that specific room, not the nursery average.
  2. Who is with my child after lunch? If the answer is a different team, you are buying a different service in the afternoon than in the morning.
  3. How many frameworks do you follow? A nursery advertising EYFS plus Montessori plus a STEM programme is usually doing one of them properly. We follow the EYFS and only the EYFS.
  4. What happens on a hard morning? If the answer is a fixed number of settling days rather than a description of how they watch the child, that tells you something.

What is included here

Our fee covers the nursery day for the age group and days you choose:

  • The EYFS programme and the daily focused sessions
  • Gymnastics, music and outdoor play each week
  • The written note at every pickup
  • Parent app updates and written progress reports
  • Parent–teacher meetings

Transport, uniform and registration are quoted separately, and we set them out in writing so you can compare us properly against whoever else you are looking at.

Fee questions

Fees depend on the age group and the number of days, so we quote them when you enquire rather than publishing one figure that fits nobody. What matters more when you compare two nurseries is what sits outside the fee — transport, uniform and registration are usually charged separately. What nursery fees in Sharjah actually cover.

Yes. We provide pick-up and drop-off across nearby areas, including Muweilah, Al Rahmaniya, Al Suyoh and the communities in and around Al Ramla, Sharjah. Tell us your area and we will confirm the route and the cost before you commit to anything.

Yes. Full-day care runs to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, from a 7:00 AM arrival. The teachers your child knows in the morning are the ones there in the afternoon, which for a child in care all day matters more than the closing time.

Passport, Emirates ID and UAE residence visa copies for the father, mother and child; six passport photographs of the child; the vaccination record; the birth certificate; and the admission form set, which the office gives you. The full admissions page.

Ask for the whole number, not the headline
