Daycare in Sharjah for children aged 45 days to 4 years

Full-day care from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, in Al Ramla. The difference worth asking about is not the closing time — it is who is in the room after lunch.

The same teachers, morning and afternoon

In a lot of settings the morning teachers leave at lunchtime and a separate afternoon team covers daycare. It is cheaper to staff, and it means a child in care for ten hours is handed between two sets of adults every single day.

Ours stay. The teacher who greeted your child at 7:00 AM is the one who hands them back at 5:30 PM, and she is the one writing the note you take home.

For a very young child, that continuity does more than any amount of equipment.

What daycare here is not

Full-day care is often sold as supervision — somewhere safe to leave a child while you work. That is the floor, not the offer.

Not a holding room

The afternoon runs the same EYFS curriculum as the morning, with a lighter structure. Children are still being observed, recorded and extended.

Not a different building

Children stay in their own room with their own key person. Nobody is moved to a combined afternoon group.

Not an afterthought on reporting

You still get a written note at pickup, parent app updates and the same progress reports as a half-day child.

How the full day runs

Arrival from 7:00 AM, a focused EYFS session and free play through the morning, outdoor play, snack, then lunch and rest at midday. Younger children sleep; older ones have a quiet period rather than a forced nap.

The afternoon is child-led play with a lighter structure, an afternoon snack around four, and pickup from 5:30 PM. The full hour-by-hour day is here.

Friday is different. Classes run 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with no afternoon session. Worth planning around before you commit to a schedule.

Who this suits

Most of our full-day families have both parents working, often with one commuting to Dubai. A 7:00 AM opening and a 5:30 PM close is what makes that workable without a nanny in the middle.

It also suits children who are ready for more than three hours of nursery but not yet in school — the 3–4 group in particular, where the longer day gives room for proper school readiness work as well as play.

The question worth asking any daycare is not when it closes. It is who is in the room after lunch.

Fees and what sits outside them

Daycare fees depend on the age group and the number of days, so we quote on enquiry. What usually catches parents out is not the fee itself but the extras — transport, uniform and registration are charged separately almost everywhere. Here is how to compare two quotes properly.

Daycare questions

Yes. Full-day care runs to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, from a 7:00 AM arrival. The teachers your child knows in the morning are the ones there in the afternoon, which for a child in care all day matters more than the closing time.

Classes run Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Friday is a short day for every child. The office keeps different hours, including Saturday mornings — see all hours.

Come at 4 PM, not 10 AM

If you are choosing daycare, visit in the afternoon. That is when you find out who is actually in the room and how tired everybody is.
