Safety and facilities at our Sharjah nursery
The questions parents want answered before anything else: who can get in, who can take my child out, and who is watching. Here are the specifics.
The physical side
CCTV in every room
Camera coverage extends to every classroom and every area of the nursery, not just the corridors and entrance.
Secure entry
The building is not open. Entry is controlled during the nursery day, and visitors do not walk into classrooms unaccompanied.
Authorised collection list
Your child is released only to an adult you have named. If someone else needs to collect, we need to hear it from you first — every time, including relatives we know.
Childproofed rooms
Age-appropriate classrooms designed so that safety and creativity are not in competition: fixtures, furniture and materials chosen for the age in the room.
Food safety procedures
Documented handling, storage and allergy procedures for snacks and meals prepared or served on site.
Ongoing staff training
Health and safety training is continuous rather than a one-off induction, and it covers every member of staff in a room.
The rooms and learning spaces
Classrooms are set up for the age group in them, which means different furniture heights, different materials and different amounts of open floor from one room to the next.
Alongside the classrooms there are experiential learning spaces — areas set up to be handled rather than looked at, for water, sand, construction, role play and messy work.
Children also use the outdoor space daily whenever the weather allows, and gymnastics and music each have their own slot during the week.
Emotional safety counts too
The physical side is the easy half. A child who is safe but miserable is not having a good day at nursery.
So every child has a key person from the first visit — one adult who knows their name, their routines and how they like to be comforted. Settling in starts with shorter sessions and lengthens when the child is ready rather than when the calendar says so.
And the teachers who are with your child in the morning are the ones there in the afternoon. For a child in full-day care, that continuity does more for their sense of safety than any policy document.
Licensing and oversight
Bumble Bee Nursery is licensed by the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the regulator for private early years settings in the emirate. We have operated from the same building in Al Ramla since 2008.
Safety questions parents ask
Yes. CCTV covers every classroom and every area of the nursery. Alongside that: secure entry, an authorised collection list, childproofed rooms, food safety procedures and ongoing staff training in health and safety. More on safety.
Yes — by the Sharjah Private Education Authority. We have operated from the same building since 2008. In 2026 the nursery received the Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award for the Sharjah region.

Please do, and come at a time when something is actually happening — mid-morning when the rooms are busy, or at pickup to see how the day ends. A nursery is easy to photograph well and hard to fake in person.
Ask us the hard questions in person
Bring a list. The nurseries worth choosing are the ones that answer specifically rather than reassuringly.
