What the British EYFS actually means
It is the framework used in nurseries and reception classes across England. Not a syllabus to be delivered, but a description of how very young children learn — and what the adults around them should be doing about it.
Children learn through play.
A two-year-old filling and emptying a jug is doing volume, cause and effect, and wrist control. Left alone, that is play. With a teacher who narrates it, asks a question and waits for the answer, it becomes learning.
So our day is not a timetable of lessons. It is a good deal of child-led play, punctuated by focused sessions in early language, numbers and motor skills, with gymnastics, music and outdoor play each week.

A Day at Bumble Bee Nursery
Children arrive from 7:00 AM. The morning holds a focused EYFS session alongside free play, because at this age most of the real learning happens in between the planned activities. Then outdoor play, snack, story and music.
Full-day children stay to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with the same teachers through the afternoon.

Questions parents ask
Children from 45 days to 4 years, in four class groups: Infant Class (45 days to 1 year), Toddler Class (1 to 2 years), Toddler Class 2 (2 to 3 years) and Preschooler Class (3 to 4 years). See the class groups.
The British Early Years Foundation Stage, and only that. Plenty of nurseries in Sharjah advertise EYFS alongside Montessori and a STEM programme. One framework, with staff trained in it and assessment that genuinely follows it, is a different proposition from three at the surface.
Classes run Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Friday is a short day for every child. The office keeps different hours, including Saturday mornings — see all hours.
Fees depend on the age group and the number of days, so we quote them when you enquire rather than publishing one figure that fits nobody. What matters more when you compare two nurseries is what sits outside the fee — transport, uniform and registration are usually charged separately. What nursery fees in Sharjah actually cover.
Yes. We provide pick-up and drop-off across nearby areas, including Muweilah, Al Rahmaniya, Al Suyoh and the communities in and around Al Ramla, Sharjah. Tell us your area and we will confirm the route and the cost before you commit to anything.
Yes. CCTV covers every classroom and every area of the nursery. Alongside that: secure entry, an authorised collection list, childproofed rooms, food safety procedures and ongoing staff training in health and safety. More on safety.
